So, cheat.sh is practically some sort of GitHub Copilot on minimal settings, eh?

I had to switch from LunarVim to #VSCode for the #TypeScript project and I am so sad 😢 That's because #Neovim and LunarVim have so much potential and are so easy to navigate with keyboard, not to mention their speed. It's just they lack integration and functionality, have a lot of annoying bugs and simply are not user friendly enough. VSCode just works: no bugs, no configuration required (apart from VSVim shortcuts), all functionality you need in a good UI. Man... I will wait for LunarVim 1.0

@joeligj12 I wonder why Prime disagrees. All I seen from him about VSCode is memes, which is fine, but not really constructive.

Bruh. Telegram added ads into its mobile client, which are indistinguishable from the regular messages in the channels.Theoretically, I could move the channels into RSS, but the chats and people would still be there. If only Signal provided a better UI/UX on the desktop and mobile...

No seriously, ads in general are notorious, but the ads, that are masking to the real content without an explicit mark, are a misleading scam and should have been prohibited.Even the YouTube ads, that are recently appeared in my Vanced Client are better than this.

@person Yes, and apparently the owner can turn them off (I don't know, didn't have a channel big enough myself).

@mike The crossposted things from TikTok to Twitter is awful. Very similar to the things crossposted from Instagram. But I also read stupid memes from groups of the local Facebook clone in my childhood, so I can't blame anyone. It's just you have to move on someday and do some other things, that are more interesting.

@kev If you show the manifesto to the ordinary human, they will think you're some angry dude, who swears a lot with no good reason. The problem with all this Facebook, Ads and Web 3.0 shit, is that most humans do not understand tech and therefore they're are not enthusiastic about Mastodon and other FOSS stuff. I think it is useful to explain how the stuff works in simple terms to the wide audience, so that they do could press their governments.

For some reason all the posts in my #Hugo site has the 1970 date in RSS feed. I thought the date would be added automatically using Git or last modified file metadata, but apparently some manual intervention is required.

I had to boot into Windows 11. After a system update, it asked me some random stuff and installed a bunch of es-eich-ai-ti. Then it spammed me with the popups and took my laptop cooling to Noisy Heaven.Indeed, a very nice OS, people are using not only because it is installed by default and have the professional software support, including games.Seriously, Windows 7 didn't have these nasty things. What the hell happened?

So, Namecheap sent me a email, that says, that they are terminating my account, because I am from Russia and my government is shit (Personally, I think it's even worse).I guess, I need to search another provider for my personal domain. But I am not sure what provider to select, given the circumstances.I don't really care about my website, but my email depends on my domain name.

Since MasterCards and Visas are blocked in Russia, I had to burn a tree to pay for a VPN.Actually, no. I still have a subscription active, but just in case, I'm exploring the BTC and other means of payment for the important service, that allows me to at least read free press. Sorry, little tree. And yeah, seeing all these strange speculative apps and sites is scary. It seems people don't understand what they are doing.

There is also an option to get a UnionPay (Chinese payment system) card for VPN payment. It's not yet widespread within the Russian banks, but should be in the near future.Seems like it's easier, less costly and more ethical to the environment. Should probably stick to that option in the future, but given the situation, things could change unpredictably. So, I think learning how to deal with Crypto is ok.

@werwolf @HattieJosh BTC as as an long term investment is a bad idea, since it's volatile and it's price on exchange is based solely on demand (i.e. trust, hype, etc. Just like any other speculative asset). However, I don't understand why it's a Ponzi scheme, because I don't see a malicious actor, that will scram with money. Could you please elaborate on that? May be I am sincerely missing something.

Vanced is discontinued. And I cannot pay for the YouTube Premium and Music Premium, because Google does not accept anything but Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.Time for the NewPipe X SponsorBlock, I guess. And XManager. The experience would be worse, but still ok.

My LibreOffice was eating CPU and making my laptop fans spinning wild for some strange reason. I managed to solve the issue by turning off the JRE, when LibreOffice started to hang.I've heard and seen that Java is hungry for memory, but this is something else.
