@ThomasWic But there are short sellers who engage in manipulation of markets (which is separate from the specific act of selling short). I think the GME gambit in play now is at least partly motivated by a desire to punish this kind of behaviour. I have no idea if the funds involved in GME are guilty of such manipulation nor do I know how widespread it really is, I am merely stating what I have read from some claiming to be involved in the GME but/hold crowd.

@ThomasWic My first reaction was, of course: I wish Thomas would tell us his theory!But I recognised the veracity of your assertions regarding Trump's brilliance. Whatever it is that you have imagined, I suspect it is no more than a component of a plan that is larger and more audacious than anything we have thus far imagined. This particular win is not on anybody else's terms except for Trump's. He has not only prepared the battlefield, he defined its scope. And I think it is REALLY big.

Institutional investors take a short position in excess of 100% of total available shares.2. This short position becomes public knowledge through normal channels.3. Individual investors take an advantageous position contrary to the short sale.4. Lots of chitter chatter about the outcome of 1-3 above in the media, etc.What am I missing?

Trump clearly knows what was up, adjusted the timing of his speech accordingly, and incorporated it into his plan, either beforehand or as it happened. I agree that we are getting close to the endgame.My take on it is that Trump cannot wait too long or risk seeing unacceptable levels of domestic and international damage. In ever greater numbers.The hogs cannot perceive the trap and are caught in max. number and with great bedlam when the circular fence drops and catches them all. They are then dispatched on the spot or taken to a suitable site for processing.None of us have yet seen the bounds of Trump’s trap.
