@nipos @tastytea Would be interested in maintaining a git repo (or so) with you. Planned already to ask @isolategab to join, but haven't done yet.However, i would prefer three things:* if things are documented properly. That means: a) making screenshots of toots which are offensive and also archiving the response of the admin. That way, it seems much more transparent and useful to admins, because they understand why they are blocking instances.* i also would like to include peertube instances specifically. * i would prefer to host it in a decentral way. That means, using for instance https://git.nixnet.xyz/ or sr.ht or similar instead of github. Especially something where i can donate to/uses free software is interesting here. (a wiki would be also okay, i guess. not sure what's better, a wiki or git repo)

@Ajz i prefer #XMPP with well administrated servers using #OMEMO encryption.* compared to matrix, it has less resource limits.* has client diversity. for instance, there exist clients for the terminal and native GUI clients* compared to matrix, the end-to-end crypto is better. for instance, on matrix, currently only riot support end-to-end crypto. fractal for instance does not.* XMPP has better decentralization. matrix for instance has one huge server: matrix.org and many small ones.* XMPP has diverse developer culture, for instance XMPP hackathons and multiple XMPP servers who both work well.* it is more stable compared to signal. Signal is very difficult to use without a smartphone and the migration from one desktop client to another desktop client is difficult when you don't have access to your smartphone. in XMPP i can just create a new OMEMO key for the new device and everything is fine. For instance, my impression is that @phessler and @pamela do a good moderation job on bsd.network to remove in general ugly behavior.And from some conferences(for instance the chaos communication congress), i know that sexist behavior is noticeable (for instance, i've read that people had touched the latex outfit at a party there without asking first). I know that the chaos communication congress has also a awareness team who addresses that.However, i don't know how severe this issue is.Also, i know that in germany, for instance, there are feminist/female hackerspaces. Second, they especially highlight to be pleased to hear from female socialized people, and i think the reason is to try to get more women into IT, to increase diversity in IT - which in turn probably also increases diversity in FOSS.cc'ing some people: @HackyScientress @Gina @reticuleena

@4 ah, okay. dann versteh ich dich jetzt.Aber um ehrlich zu sein, faellt es mir sehr schwer, das oeffentlich zuzugeben - ich habe Angst vor der Reaktion.Insbesondere, weil die gesellschaft quasi immer "rassist sein" mit "nazi/rechts sein" geleichsetzt, zumindest wirkt das so.

@debacle @kirschwipfel i recommend to try multiple clients. Converse is pretty stable and has a good user experience when you dont need e2e encryption. When you do, you have to watch for the browser storage where youre keys are stored. You could accidentially delete them.I don't recommend psi, i've had segmentation faults when i used it. gajim works good but is sometimes clumsy.You could also try to install dino (built from master!) with WSL.

Man kann mit gewissem Recherche-Aufwand herausfinden, zu welchem Hosting-Anbieter die IP-Adresse des Servers gehört, der die Webseite hostet.Vermute ich.Das würde bedeuten, dass man durch ein gezieltes, koordiniertes Aufmerksam-machen auf den Hosting-Anbieter gewisser Personen politischen Druck erzeugen kann.Gleichzeitig möchte ich auf den wundervollen nostarchpress verlag hinweisen, die diverse Bücher zu IT-Sicherheit/Bug-Hunting im Angebot (ohne DRM!) haben. https://nostarch.com/catalog/securityGleichzeitig gibt es in IT-Sicherheits-kreisen regelmäßige "Capture The flag" aktionen, wo man mit einer sicherheitslücke an ein geheimnis kommen muss. Die sind toll und legal.Und es gibt auf Github so Software-Installationen, die Sicherheitslücken enthalten, mit denen man so dinge wie Cross Site Scripting oder SQL injections üben kann.
