       @kirschwipfel for IOS/MacOS SiskinIM and BeagleIM works best for me. For IOS there are also Monal and ChatSecure. For MacOS there is also Monal. See also https://blog.windfluechter.net/content/blog/2020/01/18/1755-xmpp-fun-clients

       @kirschwipfel My non-geeky colleagues use Gajim on Windows. Seems to work well.

       @kirschwipfel My non-geeky colleagues use #Gajim on Windows. Seems to work.Alternatives are #Psi+ or an in-browser client, i.e. #Converse.js or #JSXC.

       @ij Thanks. I should have be more precise when asking: Which one would you recommend for the normal WhatsApp/Signal-/Threema user, who has now clue and does not care about tech? I want to recommend *one* client for each platform. (I'd even prefer to recommand one client for several platforms :-)

       @debacle @kirschwipfel i recommend to try multiple clients. Converse is pretty stable and has a good user experience when you dont need e2e encryption. When you do, you have to watch for the browser storage where youre keys are stored. You could accidentially delete them.I don't recommend psi, i've had segmentation faults when i used it. gajim works good but is sometimes clumsy.You could also try to install dino (built from master!) with WSL.

       @fruechtchen Thanks. I dontÄt have any off these platforms, so I can not try one. This is why I'm asking for recommendations. Target group are typical WhatsApp/Signal-/Threema users, who have no clue and don't care about tech.Thus if Converse needs extra care, it is out.e2e/OMEMO is a MUST, of course.dino: Is it availalbe for Windows now? Last time I checked, the developers rejected my request for a Windows build.@debacle

       @hexmasteen Yeah, @kaidan sounds promising. Esp, the "Upcoming 9-seconds-might be a real improvement. I'm just missing Downloads for Windows.https://www.kaidan.im/2020/01/08/Easy-Registration/@CryptGoat: Kaidan is a KDE app, already available for macOS, Android and Linux. Sounds promising.

       @kirschwipfelThank you! Already been keeping an eye on this for a while. Switched from buggy #Gajim to #Dino a few months ago. #Kaidan still needs #OMEMO support but it's being worked on.@hexmasteen @kaidan

       @kirschwipfelThank you! Already been keeping an eye on this for a while. Switched from buggy #Gajim to #Dino a few months ago. Sadly it's still pretty much #Linux exclusive. #Kaidan still needs #OMEMO support but it's being worked on.@hexmasteen @kaidan
