@Gina I used to work for a company that created SW for local gov's. That taught me that at this stage of my life I have little interest to work for the gov. But never say never.

@screenbeard @kev @ndanes I switched to a Thinkpad external keyboard with a touchpoint and an ergonomic layout. No more wrist pain. At first I only changed keyboard layout but the pain didn't disappear fully. Switching to the touchpoint took care of the rest. :)

@kev @screenbeard That's (almost) the one. I used this one: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories-and-monitors/keyboards-and-mice/keyboards/KEYBOARD-US-English/p/0B47190The one I'm refferring to has a slightly different controller which can be hacked to switch "Fn" and "Ctrl" keys. If that's important to you, I wrote up the details of the modifications here: https://github.com/lentinj/tp-compact-keyboard/issues/32#issuecomment-687659110

@tobtobxx @linmob Yepp, I gave up on getting the current version of #anki running on #postmarketos #musl. I changed to 2.1.15 which was the last version with a build system that I could at least remotely comprehend: https://pkgs.alpinelinux.org/package/edge/testing/x86/anki

@linmob @tobtobxx oh noes! 😔 IIRC you'll have to compile the rspy library yourself. This took a really long time for me on the pinephone and ultimately failed (again on musl, so you might be better off with Arch/GNU). See here: https://github.com/ankitects/anki/blob/main/docs/development.mdNote: We're not the only ones having trouble. Debian and NixOS are also still at 2.1.15. See here: https://github.com/ankitects/anki/issues/1378Nevertheless, if you feel up to the task, the Anki forums are a good place to get support.

@linmob Thank you for this post. After trying #sxmo late last year no my pinephone, your post gave me the right nudge to now give my #pinephone another go with #swmo. Hopefully I'll find good instructrions to run it on #DanctNIX.

Wow, #fosdem2022 has a dedicated track for FOSS on mobile devices: https://fosdem.org/2022/schedule/track/foss_on_mobile_devices/If you are interested in #linuxphones you should check out the schedule. There's so much going on in the #linuxphone space right now. 😎I feel like @postmarketOS or @danctnix is the future for me (still running a de-googled android right now though).#fosdem #FOSDEM22 #pinephone

@kzimmermann Not sure if "bulk" is a hard requirement for you. If you have certain folders that you want to back up and the phone and computer are regularly on the same network: You could use syncthing for transfer to the computer and then use your normal backup routine there. That's what I do.

@kzimmermann What happens with stray cats where you live? I think, I would just keep feeding it every day. Cats don't have to be under a roof to be happy. BTW, I highly recommend the movie “Kedi”: https://yewtu.be/watch?v=lKq7UqplcL8

@galdor Maybe try mailbox.org. They let you use your own domain, so if you are unhappy at any point in time, you can just move on. They have a "drive" solution, but I rarely use it for anything. So, not sure how good it is compared to google's drive. I moved my mails from gmail to mailbox.org + personal domain and never looked back.
