       Here’s your semi-regular reminder that your alt text should describe what’s in the image, based on the purpose of it. If you are sharing a screenshot of a funny post, write out the text from the image, not “screenshot from tumblr”. If you are sharing a histogram with the latest covid number, share the most important values or takeaways or a link to the data, not just “histogram with covid numbers”.Otherwise blind and low vision screen reader users still don’t get the same info.

       Oslo(-ish) people! What are your favorite hikes in Oslo or within a 2 hour driving distance of Oslo?I’m trying to go out more for hikes before and after work this summer (or work from location 🏔️☀️), but most of the spots I love are 4+ hours away, so I’m looking for more options closer to home.

       fellow (hobby) photography folks, what kind of folder structure do you store your pictures and edits in? 👀 I’m supposed to write emails, pack for a small trip next week, finish editing honeymoon pictures, finish cleaning up code, and do some company admin (pay my salary).        @matt that's pretty much the same as what I've been doing, but I ended up restructuring it yesterday to:Photos > YYYY > MM > DD DescriptionEdits > YYYY > MM > DD Descriptioninstead of the same folder, thinking that if I want to move the edits elsewhere at some point (like their own hard drive) it's going to be easier this way 🤔

       my doctor doesn’t believe in fatigue as a symptom or long covid as a diagnosis. Quote from her from my last appointment, when I tried insisting that I am actually still feeling tired: “if we push our patients hard enough with questions even ME/CFS always turns out to be just health anxiety and hypochondria” :ohno:If someone in Oslo has a doctor who believes people can experience fatigue and who’s also taking in new patients, recommendations welcome.
