fellow (hobby) photography folks, what kind of folder structure do you store your pictures and edits in? 👀 I’m supposed to write emails, pack for a small trip next week, finish editing honeymoon pictures, finish cleaning up code, and do some company admin (pay my salary). Am organizing my hard drive instead :BlobCat_ThisIsFine:

@fossheim Photos > YYYY > MM Month > DD DescriptionPhotos > 2023 > 05 May > 17 Constitution DayAnd then each date folder contains the JPGs so I can quickly scan them - then have have two more folders:RAWEdits🙃 Rules are different for when I have scans from a 35mm film though. I usually just date the folder when I made the scans and update the metadata of the individual images if I know / want the exact dates.

@matt that's pretty much the same as what I've been doing, but I ended up restructuring it yesterday to:Photos > YYYY > MM > DD DescriptionEdits > YYYY > MM > DD Descriptioninstead of the same folder, thinking that if I want to move the edits elsewhere at some point (like their own hard drive) it's going to be easier this way 🤔
