@kev @thang This way. I was in a hurry to populate my feed on another account and kinda muffed it. Here I checked out the local feed for a bit before following folks of interest, which led to seeing their comments appear. Following up on those threads led to even more cool peeps. Now I'm adding in more very slowly, some from the surrounding fediverse. My feed is blissfully... full of cats again? Ha.

@kev sweet. Looks like you can move your monitors up and down as needed? Always found I needed them a bit higher when in the standing position. Bought one almost ten years ago and hauled it around from shop to shop. Saved my career.

@mike @person @Gina @duponin @kev AOK. All good. In our community we have a number of folks with mental health issues and/or addiction problems. We'll often check in on them if they go AWOL for a time. A couple of folks from the "late night gothy gothy dance" community have touched base with me after hearing I started living alone. It was awfully nice of them. And it helped. Best wishes to all!

@logrus1 @hund Ya, the studio machine has a Ryzen 7 1800x and Radeon 580. Very different experiences. But for it's age, the slower box (circa 2011) holds up pretty damn well. It just needs to hold on a little bit longer...

Anybody up on their smartplugs? I have a heater in my office I'd like to turn on from home. Don't care if I have to SSH into it to do so (or something like that). No android/apple devices in the house so I'm curious as to how I'd manage it. A timer would work but I don't come in every day (and don't want to waste power).

@safiuddinkhan It's going to be overwhelming at first. But Blender, and most other 3d packages, are very well documented. Just a matter of starting at the beginning. You'll get into the groove quickly. From a 20+ year 3d artist ;-).
