@aliss i also doubt majorly that every illegal copy is a lost salebecause generally people pirate because they either don’t have the money, find it too difficult to get a legitimate copy, or don’t care enough about the product to pay full price. most pirates still buy legitimate copies of the things they care about most and can easily get

I keep seeing posts from people with ADHD especially, but also autism, who describe their hyperfixations as if they are controlled by them and don’t want them, and I don’t feel that way at all. I do feel like obsessing over certain things is a dominant mode of interacting with my world that I couldn’t get away from, and sometimes wish I could, but the interests themselves, I’m always happy to have.I’ve get really obsessed with random things to the extent that I can’t think about anything else and it can interfere with more important tasks, but I get there because I really like those things and I want to think about them all the time, and if I don’t like or care about something, I don’t fixate on it. And as a result, I’m genuinely sad when my ability to hyperfocus starts to fade. I’m sad that I can’t focus on Doom, or on making electronic music, like I used to. It’s like I lost a part of myself.Maybe what I experience is an entirely different phenomenon to what people with ADHD experience.

I kinda want to make a website, or wiki, that is just a gallery of full-screen error messages with explanations on how and where they occur. A BSOD fan site.For some reason I’m very fascinated with them and nobody seems to have gathered more than a small number of them in one place.
