@lextenebris @akavel I think due the prominence of computer & video game rpgs, you may need those tools. Folks are used to discrete options with no ability to change it. So, while those tools are not required, it becomes a good to point them out to remind a player they have control over their game.

@HeatherNatalie Fate, 2d20, and Sentinel Comics uses zones/areas. Basically, the location is cordoned off in sections. You are free to interact with snything within the section you are in. Anything outside takes more effort depending how many zones/areas there are out there. The zones/areas are not consistent & their sizes can be different. It’s all depend on what they represent. #ttrpg

@samurro Is requesting feedback solely the responsibility of the player with the GM role or can any player role in the group request feedback? #ttrpg

@samurro Why is it only the GM role that you can see benefit from feedback? Why can’t a PC role benefit from feedback?

@lextenebris What do you mean when you say red flag? For me here, a red flag is a discount, especially for car dealerships.

@nickdrawthing I recommend that the weight is based on a known volume like they do in Traveller. It's based on displacement of water since we know how much specific volume of water weighs. #ttrpg

@lextenebris @nickdrawthing I have no idea how big a gallon of water is. I’m a metric boy.

@lextenebris I also know what a kg of water looks likes (aka it’s the same as a litre).

@Printdevil I started the #Traveller scenario “Death Station”. It’s a sci-fi game in the far future. When they found the dead body floating outside, they reached to their patron on their communicators asking to get the authorities involved. As they are on a backwater system, their patron informed thrm closest authorities are at least 1 week away. You can still get folks isolated even if they have communication systems in a horror scenario. #ttrpg

@lextenebris I had told them via exposition but since this is the player’s first Traveller game, he hadn’t fully realized how far the other civilized systrm is.

@BeefGriller If you have a group who enjoy rolling dice then you have a roll adjacent to finding the thing. Ex: How close is the other group looking for the thing are? How safe is the thing when you find it? #ttrpg

@lextenebris Well, the GM in question is getting it sold out at the orocides and the $154 one is also sold out. That shows folks are willing & able to pay that price.

@lextenebris Ok. Then the easiest way for you to remain comfortable is not to change those prices on your events.
