Allerdings sprach @olel von Kohle, was vermutlich zu den 84.5% Energiebedingten Emissionen zählt. Interessant währe es jetzt zu erfahren, wie hoch der Anteil der Kohlekraftwerke im Vergleich zu anderen fossilen Stromerzeugungen, Heizungen, Pkws und Lkws, etc. ist. Hat dazu jemand Quellen?

@rugk @allo The whole point of DNS always was that it's decentralized. So the ideal scenario is that every single subnet uses their own little local resolver, so that when you visit example.com from different devices on the same network only one request is ever made to your local DNS' upstream server and not by your browser directly. The reply is cached for as long as the records TTL is, the negative cache TTL is defined per zone (i.e. per domain or sub-domain).All of this is already in daily use by most of us when using a physical internet connection. Most routers that you get for personal internet connections already do this local DNS caching out of the box. In corporate environments you have this as well and often also run dedicated, redundant DNS resolvers. If you are tech-savvy you can also change the upstream that your routers DNS resolver uses - i.e. to bypass the DNS filtering that your ISP's DNS servers would do or to avoid them tracking what is accessed.Basically my concern is that currently my DNS queries get mixed in with all the other DNS queries of other people in the same household or office and I am in control over which upstream is used, but with DoH in the browser the DoH server now can differentiate each device as an independent TCP connection and I will have to configure the used upstream per user profile.I agree that DoH does make a difference for mobile devices that use cell phone internet connections, as there you are typically dependent on the ISP's DNS solution and DoH allows you to avoid that.Once I can set up my own DoH resolver in my network and can somehow communicate this automatically with DHCP option like regular DNS it may actually become as good as the current solution plus give me encryption so that other users on the same network can't sniff my DNS queries anymore. Currently I have to use a VPN to avoid that (I am running my own VPN server and control the DNS resolver that it uses).Bottom line: I think DoH addresses a specific concern for mobile devices and travelling, but introduces new issues for many other use cases. It may not be the ideal solution for every use case.

Ah, the joys of Jira workflows. I can share some even more complex real-life examples, if you are interested.IMHO workflows should be as simple as possible. In practice they seem to be ever evolving towards the more complex, until tickets get stuck and intricate sequences of clicking buttons have to be applied to get a ticket into the "correct" state.

Falls Du einen hast und das Display noch funktioniert - Quietscht Deiner auch so, beim Aufklappen? Bei meinem habe ich deswegen versucht das Scharnier etwas zu ölen, aber es ist immer noch recht laut. Auch habe ich den Bolzen wie im PoFo-Wiki beschrieben bearbeitet, um hoffentlich die Lebensdauer des Bildschirmkabels etwas zu verlängern.

There is 2 GiB of free RAM, no swapping and 10 GiB of free disk space. So I could run this instance on a VM of half that size, CPU- and RAM-wise, although I'd prefer to keep the free disk space in case of some issue that causes excessive logging or for DB migrations that require duplicating the database into a new DB engine.

Ich weiss, ich weiss - Tablets sind nicht was wir hier als Desktops verstehen, aber ich möchte doch einmal daran erinnern, dass Android (eine Linux Distribution, aber halt kein GNU/Linux) im Jahr 2012 Apple iOS als dominierendes mobile-OS überholt hat. Somit war im Jahr 2012 Linux vermutlich auch das dominierende OS für Tablets und Mobiltelefone und wurde damit von mehr Menschen genutzt als Apple MacOS, iOS oder Microsoft Windows genutzt. Und typische Office-Tasks sind damit ja auch problemlos möglich und mit dem Play Store haben diese Nutzer auch auf zahllose Games Zugriff.Nur leider sind das allermeistens keine freien Geräte, im Sinne von Free/Libre. :-(

Danke für diese Analyse. Ich hatte das Problem auch immer wieder einmal beobachtet, aber nie realisiert, dass es mit NoScript zusammenhängt. Nun weiss ich woran es liegt und wie ich es selber beheben kann. Merci!

Naja, wenn NoScript seinen x-index mit "!important" versieht, können wir das vom Friendica-CSS aus nicht beheben, soweit ich weiss.

Ich rate mal dass es dazu dienen sollte, dass die NoScript-Modal-Dialoge stets über allem anderen Content angezeigt werden, z.B. über einem Modal-Login-Dialog. Leider targetted es aber eine Eigenschaft die auch das Friendica-Design nutzt.Es ist also mutmasslich schon eher ein NoScript-Bug als einer in Friendica. Ich nutze aber weiterhin gerne beides und kann mir nun helfen - es tritt nur auf wenn Videos in meiner Timeline sind, was derzeit nicht oft der Fall ist. Ich glaube Bilder werden auf meiner Instanz selbst gecached, wenn ich das Plugin dazu noch im Einsatz habe.
