That "or decisions" in the #OECD definition feels wrong. I wonder why they didn't remove it as was suggested by another expert group working for the OECD. Does anyone know why? #AI #OpenSource

@maupao @wikimediaitalia interessante. Sai che valore legale hanno questi servizi? Come si distinguono rispetto a DocuSign?

@simon @castarco I came to the same conclusion while thinking about what to name the definition of Open Source for this field. AI is an old scientific discipline, well established, there is no advantage in inventing new names just because we're going through a hype cycle.

@DAIR @abebab That's not good, 2 years with a known issue and no fix. Differently from private/proprietary datasets, this is supposed to be an open source one: nobody submitted a patch? Was there a patch submitted and it was rejected/not followed up on? I'd be very curious to know what happened after @abebab's paper was published.

The European Commission recently published a public draft of the standards request associated with the Cyber Resilience Act. For the first time, there is an express requirement to respect the needs of Open Source developers and users. https://opensource.org/blog/cra-standards-request-draft-published #OpenSource #CRA

The licenses of Llama and some of Deepseek models contain clear violations of the Open Source Definition, these things are *not* Open Source at a more fundamental level. The new Open Source AI Definition doesn't even kick in.So much noise and disinformation.

@bkuhn @jwildeboer @osi @larsmb @downey The agreement you and @richardfontana signed was not the one the board sent you and, most importantly, is not the one everyone else (candidates and sitting directors) signed. This is my last message on the topic.

I'm curious: How many of the people who complain about #Mozilla ToS pay for Firefox? What's the ratio between overall users and small donors?
