The OnlyFans shitstorm did highlight something interesting. If Reddit is to be believed, a good portion of OnlyFans' userbase seem to be open to using cryptocurrency as an alternative means of payment. The real obstacle is convincing customers to PAY with crypto. If they can't pay with PayPal or a credit card, they just won't pay.

I think my only concern about crypto nowadays is that mainstream adoption entails a dangerous entanglement with financial regulators and analysis firms that undermines its original purpose. Sure, it'd be nice if normies could buy and trade directly from their bank accounts, but considering the recent OnlyFans fiasco, there's little doubt that the same bullshit that prompts PayPal, Patreon, and their credit card overlords to shut accounts down at the slightest whiff of ToS violation would find its way to the crypto sector.randomTemp13008953317876378351.jpg

And the people's concerns are quite simple: anybody who isn't concerned about COVID enough to support any and all options to combat it is to be demeaned and regarded as an threat. An interesting aspect of "accountability/consequence culture" is how its proponents often use tactics and rationalizations that could also be associated to pathological abusers. Especially when it comes to using empathy to gaslight and bully people.This is illustrated in strange ways. Like when people harass artists who happen to be victims of sexual abuse because they draw loli/shota porn to cope with said abuse. Or people bullying a trans person into suicide because they refused to denounce Dave Chapelle.
