@Nonilex as much as I welcome the opportunity for the severely paralyzed to have a shot at autonomy, it's only a matter of time before the magic carpet ride begins. Just as Ozempic became far more than a wonder drug for diabetes management, telepathy won't be restricted to the severely paralyzed after all trials have run their course.

@Nonilex after exonerating all the ilk that stormed the Capitol to denounce the democratic process, singling out one guy that planted bombs that didn't work seems ridiculous. Had he tamped his enthusiasm a bit and placed them on the day everyone else was beating cops over the head with Old Glory he'd be joining ICE with the rest of America's finest.

@futurebird we're all just nodes on an ever growing neural net. Everyone giggles at interfacing their "hive mind" for answers. Take a node away, doesn't matter. More detrimental to a single human brain (stroke) but not the world brain, as it recovers quickly via redundancy. The H.G.Wells novels can be found conveniently packaged under one cover today: Time Machine, World Brain, War of the Worlds. A great gift idea in case anyone still hasn't found something for that someone yet.

I mean, the info is all out there, but none of it is absorbed because people see the world through their centralized reality programming interface, toks fb, insta, x, ts, etc all controlled by one authoritarian or another. @futurebird It's all very disturbing, that the cards were allowed to be stacked in this direction for so long. We just celebrated MLK Day for crying out loud. Every election matters. A deadbeat Congress is simply a lever for the executive to control, if they refuse to legislate. Previous administrations deported just as many immigrants, but didn't do it in a made for reality TV style. There was finally bipartisan support for an immigration reform bill Biden said he would sign, but we'll never know what that was because Trump told the GOP to squash it so he could cut government services to write ICE a blank check to light the place on fire.
