       @lauren So is this going to be like the Trump process of accumulating mountains of criminal evidence only to have agencies sit on it, resulting in inaction, because folks are afraid to take on the rich guy?

       So First Republic required a cash injection from JP Morgan and Chase to ride out today's #svb aftermath. Are all the regional #banks having similar liquidity problems related to mortgages?My understanding is that the Signature Bank failure was largely crypto-related. If so, can't say I care as much.https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/first-republic-slumps-additional-financing-fails-soothe-deposit-outflow-fears-2023-03-13/

       @UROCKlive1 I'd really be more excited about Weisselberg potentially flipping on Trump, but I am getting to the point that I feel like literally everyone could flip, and testify against Trump with the end result being zero indictment, zero arrest, and zero accountability.I'm basically hoping that a well done steak with catsup or a Big Mac will finish the job the US justice system should have.

       @lauren I was the naysayer that repeatedly said that Drump would never be indicted, so 30+ sounds reasonable.(translation: really, 30?+}

       @lauren I guess that does make sense given the granularity of the charge and the accused, though that number may be a low considering who is involved.

       Mr drivers license recently was up for renewal, and most of the time, they allow mail-in renewals. Not this time for me. So I went to the Santa Ana DMV in early March, and waited for ~3 hours in various lines only to fail my vision test.When I went to the optometrist to have my vision checked and recorded, I had 20/40 in both eyes, no wey near bad enough to fail the DMV's vision requirements.I went back to the DMV today to ask the next step in the process, had my vision rechecked, and was tested at 20/30.I can't adequately express how much of a relief it was to have the DMV clerk hand me my temporary renewed DL with zero restrictions.

       @lauren I literally know almost nothing about what access such a tech should have. Do they need to have (or should they have had) TS clearance?

       @lauren I would assume so also. If so, the clearance process for this individual should be reviewed as it seems even a cursory glance at their background shows somebody that shouldn't have been cleared. I'm also confused as to why a National Guard Base would have access to a SCIF or TS docs at all.

       @lauren Makes sense, but I am still trying to wrap my head around the document access process. When I worked at a research institute, TS stuff and above could only be accessed in a SCIF. Maybe (likely) I just don't understand security procedures, but it seems very sloppy.

       @lauren Sounds like Don got his feelings hurt. Not sure that matters as much as #cnn successfully jettisoning someone that had no issue making sexist remarks both on air (confirmed) and at female colleagues (allegedly).

       @lauren CNN lost me with their change in focus even before the Trump Town Hall. I'm sorry to see that they now seem to be making detrimental UI changes as well. Not a great recent track record of decision making by senior management.

       @carnage4life I migrated first from Evernote to Onenote. Then I migrated to #obsidian I want fuil control of my notes, and I prefer them in markdown. I can also get them pretty much anywhere with the use of their (paid) sync product.

       @LRRRonEarth "AND A REGERATIVE MEDICAL TANK FOR WHEN DISASTER INEVITABLY STRIKES"Be careful with that. It made Boba Fett old, slow, and put out a pointless 8-part series documenting his decline.

       @stux Fediblock, while intended for honest comm, has morphed into a mechanism of laziness where (some) instance admins are more than happy to block instances without receipts. Very high school.I don't have a better answer or solution other than to recommend those on such instances move to a better place and financially support that place if happy with their admin/mod team. The easiest way to fight shit-tier admining/modding is to starve such instances of users and finances.To those that work hard to provide a positive, drama-free (as much as possible) environment for its users, I salute you.

       @Nonilex Either a purge or files will be tied up due to BS Bondi investigation of Clinton or others. Delay and/or defer is always on the menu.#trump is likely going to dodge this crisis just like all the other ones unless Dems change their strat. The key (IMO) is to keep up the pressure on the Epstein stuff (files, emails, testimony, etc) while finding other crap he has done and maintain the confrontation. All it takes is one, and there are plenty of things still to discover.More gasoline when the DJT dumpster starts to wane. Dems tried the slick Schumer/Jefferies laid back old school politics, and it's blown up twice in the past year with awful CRs. More gas, less negotiation.
