@Nonilex Either a purge or files will be tied up due to BS Bondi investigation of Clinton or others. Delay and/or defer is always on the menu.#trump is likely going to dodge this crisis just like all the other ones unless Dems change their strat. The key (IMO) is to keep up the pressure on the Epstein stuff (files, emails, testimony, etc) while finding other crap he has done and maintain the confrontation. All it takes is one, and there are plenty of things still to discover.More gasoline when the DJT dumpster starts to wane. Dems tried the slick Schumer/Jefferies laid back old school politics, and it's blown up twice in the past year with awful CRs. More gas, less negotiation.

@Nonilex All equally possible, I guess...1. It takes time to manufacture fakes that are convincing. Now they're done, so release the fakes.2. Reinvent another round of reasons to investigate yet again, and oooops, so sorry, no can do, no files for you!3. New 'evidence' that the originals were fakes or perjured testimony, or something something 'new' from recently released estate stuff, so we're reopening the original investigation, so... nope, no files for you!

@Nonilex He knows “his people” are going to vote against his wishes so he’s changed his wishes. Can’t have open rebellion, so he makes it look like it’s his idea. AND I’m betting the last few weeks of govt shutdown have been spent furiously purging the files of his name. Either that or his Senate stalwarts have reassured him (with all their competence (ha!)) that procedural votes will protect him (which could be true…..I dunno. Congressional rules are obscure for political reasons)
