@SDF @jjlewis @cooltxchick @julieb42 Thanks for the article, that's pretty much the one I followed, except that on my WordPress sites I found using a plug-in much easier than breaking into a theme and adding code that would disappear with the next update. Can confirm that the proper information appears in my metadata.

@SDF @jjlewis @cooltxchick @julieb42 I also added the verification link into my WordPress user profile, which it wasn't clear I needed to do as well as putting it in the metatext. So one or the other or both fixed the problem.

@jrcarpenter One of my longtime favorite books is called "A Catfish in the Bodoni," which is just a series of stories of a journeyman printer. The catfish got there because the printing plant was flooded . . . so, maybe you've got some flooded out pica there?

@historianess @ParadeGrotesque A colleague who was supposed to travel to be at a meeting with me tomorrow said he can't make it because he's still not over a recent case of COVID – so, yeah, masks back on for me, especially if I have to meet with travelers.

Well, had we planned on getting together for Christmas, we'd be unplanning it now. Kid 1, hundreds of miles away, got COVID at work last week, and now it looks like Kid 2, whom I visited Saturday, is coming down with it – just two months after their last fairly devastating case of it. I've been in isolation from my immune-compromised wife since Saturday. This is all just great.
