I ask questions. Sometimes I rely on the on the opinions of experts, and you and the possum guy are my go to’s on all things communism. @Radical_EgoCom @Makan No, I’m not onboard with revolutionary politics, there is ALWAYS a strongman. I still believe in elections, but goddammit, I’m willing to listen. So you can tell me, a worker bee, to do his own research, or you can ‘splain it to me, or at least point me in the right direction. I’m a collectivist, maybe just an old hippie to you, but I’m just trying to figure out what the fuck my generation of radicals did wrong, and how the next generation can fix it.

@futurebird Santa Clarita, CA. A dozen eggs costs $7.49 at Vons. There’s a Trader Joe’s near the next exit off Highway 14, selling them for $3.49 a dozen, but there’s a limit of one dozen per customer. Now, Crazy-Go-Nuts enters the picture. I habitually ask workers if they are being treated well. When they complain, I take the opportunity to promote unionism. But often the real monsters are the customers. So I asked. “Ugh, it’s been a week! And all about eggs!”, the woman at TJs told me.

@stux The thing that infuriates me is the constant bombardment of medical misinformation, which ought to be illegal, not to mention “tactical” everything (really, though, can’t wait for tactical underwear) and products “the gubmint or Amazon doesn’t want you to know about”. My wife watches YouTube with DuckDuckGo and it eliminates a lot of the “targeted” advertising.

@onan I first learned of this expression in an old book of New Yorker Cartoons that my mom put on the coffee table sometime in the 1960s. You should have seen the expression on her face when I used it at the dinner table.
