@Kolomona @Medus You can occasionally run "ipfs repo gc" to clean up old unpinned files. Your node shows ~20GB pinned, but using 37GB of space. The extra space is likely unpinned files that still exist on your node (unpinning doesn't really "delete" the file until garbage collection is run). This will be automated in a future node update, but "for now", you need to run it manually. For Start9/Umbrel users, there's a "Clean Up" action/button that initiates garbage collection.

@Kolomona Running too often likely reduces disk life : )It's mostly to clean up the unpinned free/48-hour hosted files. Or when you un-favorite a show (and unpin all the episodes). You could setup cron once a month, or every few weeks.

@mitch @adam @dave @suorcd Experienced another "attack" about 30 minutes ago. PC20 was the first thing I checked. Nodes are still pinning the show, but it's still playing ok. Are you getting any errors/more details? The enclosure bounces from op3, to ipfspodcasting, to podcastgateway.Any issues with Boostagram Ball, Podnews, or the other IPFS feeds? They should have the same issues if PC20 isn't playing.

@adam @mitch @dave @suorcd So far, it looks like a DoS of some type. Still trying to track it down.Happened a few days ago, then again today. https://podcastindex.social/@cameron/111415078554598358I get flooded with requests and have to increase cloudflare security until it's under control. This sometimes sends a captcha to the nodes/players (which is a bad thing) until I lower security again.Any cloudflare tips for security without interfering with podcasts?

@james @Kolomona @genebean Wouldn't op3 report the same stats either way (it's the first redirect). I'd be curious if your server stats are different than op3.Looking at unique plays, I see even less than the op3 numbers. But I'm sure our algos are different. I (simply) count IP+userAgent as a unique play.

@Medus PeerTube is likely a better solution, but video *is* possible on IPFS Podcasting.Though I only pin one video per enclosure (while PeerTube will transcode various resolutions for you - like YouTube).Take a look at Corbett's video feed for an example.https://ipfspodcasting.net/Feed/30/CorbettReportVideosOf course you'd need the nodes to support your feed just like audio podcasts.

@Medus I heard the latest Fun Fact Friday where you mentioned putting the remaining shows on IPFS. I looked at your website and saw you already had the prefix urls defined, so I scraped the remaining episodes and imported into ipfspodcasting. Your favorite nodes are frantically pinning episodes 1-110 : )Thanks for using IPFS Podcasing!

The IPFS gateways are currently @adam's podcastgateway.com and @suorcd's gateway.ipfs.ser.yachts. @alberto (RSS.com) has a big storage node, but not a gateway. I still need to implement "gateway management" (routing/payment/preference) via IPFS podcasting.Gateway setup is explained here. https://github.com/Cameron-IPFSPodcasting/podcast-Gateway A url regex that matches 99.7% of the IPFS podcasting urls.@voidzero did more configuration to round-robin his 5 gateways into one domain and improve fetching over ipfs://cc @dave

@Meremortals @dave @adam I double checked the IPFS version with the original. Both are the same (cut off at 1:46:39).

@Kolomona Thanks. Will have to check with @adam & @voidzero (it's their gateway).

@Kolomona @merryoscar @dave @StevenB Have people used local valueRecipients in a valueTimeSplit? It appears you're doing that with Ainsley's VTS. It's "legal" in the spec, but I don't know if/how the apps handle it.The spec also says remotePercentage only applies to remoteItem splits. You have remotePercentage="80" for Ainsley but she's not a remoteItem. I assume the app would ignore the attribute since it doesn't apply.https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/podcast-namespace/blob/main/docs/1.0.md#value-time-split

@adam @voidzero I just routed playback though my gateway. Things may be "sluggish" while my gateway fetches content. Let me know when the cert is fixed.@Kolomona Jimmy V should be working if you want to add the IPFS redirect back to your RSS. https://op3.dev/e/ipfspodcasting.net/e/music.jimmyv4v.com/podcasts/outside-in/001/001-outside_in_jimmy_v.mp3

@adam @voidzero That *is* interesting. I wonder if it used ipfs.io, or spun up it's own gateway to retrieve the content.podcastgateway is back to handling the majority of the requests. Thanks @Kolomona for sounding the alarm. I need to work on gateway management, so others can run gateways (and routing can be much smarter when a gateway fails).

@Kolomona @dave @StevenB That could be me (IPFS). If the guid changed after the IPFS nodes have downloaded, it's a different show and is sent to the nodes a 2nd time. Will try cleaning up the duplicate.

@podcastguru Any tips on how TLV info is transmitted? I've added the ability to receive lnurlp, but don't know how to receive/process the TLV data.How/where are you sending boost info?

@algrid @podcastguru Thanks. I've heard mentions of payment comments, json tokens, web sockets, rss, and nostr. All feel "kludgy".I miss keysend already. 😠It was simple and elegant. Data where it makes sense (on the lightning node).

@dave @Kolomona attempted to build something for tagging tracks. Could something like this be merged with categories, or is it two different colored horses?https://github.com/v4vmusic/v4vtags
