@adam @dave @cameron @suorcd for some reason, I am unable to play any episodes from Podcasting 2.0 on my mobile phone today. Not just the mobile app, but our mobile website, and I haven't deployed changes to our website in weeks.I don't want to be a wet blanket, but it seems like ever since the IPFS endpoint switch I run into critical failures like this a lot. Non-IPFS endpoint served episodes are playing quickly like normal.

@mitch @adam @dave @suorcd Experienced another "attack" about 30 minutes ago. PC20 was the first thing I checked. Nodes are still pinning the show, but it's still playing ok. Are you getting any errors/more details? The enclosure bounces from op3, to ipfspodcasting, to podcastgateway.Any issues with Boostagram Ball, Podnews, or the other IPFS feeds? They should have the same issues if PC20 isn't playing.

@adam @mitch @dave @suorcd So far, it looks like a DoS of some type. Still trying to track it down.Happened a few days ago, then again today. https://podcastindex.social/@cameron/111415078554598358I get flooded with requests and have to increase cloudflare security until it's under control.This sometimes sends a captcha to the nodes/players (which is a bad thing) until I lower security again.Any cloudflare tips for security without interfering with podcasts?

@mitch @adam @dave @cameron @suorcd I haven’t finished this thread, but at about 4:15-4:30 eastern I couldn’t get today’s pc2.0 to download or stream in Castamatic , Podfans, or Podverse About 7:15 I checked again and it had downloaded in Castamatic and was also playable in other apps.

@dave @adam @suorcd @genebean @cameron thanks so much for this bug report ❤️ the fact you could reproduce it in multiple apps let’s me know I can stop digging too deep for a solution on Podverse’s side. Whatever the solution is it sounds like it will be within the chain of IPFS Gateway redirects.

@Kolomona @genebean @mitch @dave @adam @suorcd @cameron The config change is a database value, so unfortunately I can't go and see exactly where it was made last time I switched IPFS on. But I'll try to remember a little later today to turn it off and see what happens.

@james @Kolomona @genebean Wouldn't op3 report the same stats either way (it's the first redirect). I'd be curious if your server stats are different than op3.Looking at unique plays, I see even less than the op3 numbers. But I'm sure our algos are different. I (simply) count IP+userAgent as a unique play.
