@cattailnu Raknu sighed again. She really should have read the contract more carefully. But why in the world should the velbox be hidden on a miniworld? She could start tearing open the little buildings, but that would take so much time. And be so messy. She nearly sneezed at the thought. But having to depend on Paul to find it...? That's the part that was *really* annoying. Paul was a pain.

@CliffWade @EighthLayer One of the main topics I post about is #ScienceFiction. It has other commonly used hashtags, like #scifi and #sff. Sometimes I can't squeeze every version of the tags I want into natural sentences, so I stick the alternate versions at the end.

@CliffWade I don't drink coffee per se. But I'm in Rhode Island, so I do drink coffee milk, which is milk with coffee syrup added, coffee syrup being coffee extract with lots of sugar added. The end result is something like five parts milk, one part coffee, one part sugar.

@KikiElara They eventually figured it out, yes, but if you drew a butterfly in red crayon on yellow paper and gave it to a five-year-old saying "Can you copy this," do you think the kid would reply "No, I only have white paper"? The whole error just stuck me as implausibly stupid, when a simple "originally white on blue" note would have sufficed, if anyone even thought that noteworthy.

@alexelcu I'm glad Multi-Account Containers don't. I selected extensions to be used, not denied to me. I want to be able to simultaneously log into two different Amazon accounts in two different tabs, that's all. I'm not using MACs for privacy.

#Pronoun matching. I was looking at an instance, and its list of suspended servers. The reason for one of the suspensions was given as "the admin literally calls themselves a Nazi". Fine reason. But the pronoun? #Epicene they/them/their/theirs, no problem. But that reflexive pronoun? Number concord says that the singular "admin" should get "themself" and not "themselves" as the reflexive. Am I off in this? Do most people use the whole set in plural, without making the partial adjustment?

Crime was low during Communism. Now, after the fall of Communism, the stories coming out of Russia were telling that crimes of all types were out of control, just like in the United States. Crime was out of control with no hope of ever getting it under control. Guns were everywhere, rape was an everyday occurrence, and murder was something appearing on the news every night.âThese are the thoughts of the younger #detective. This is not really what I expected to encounter in a 2011 #mystery #novel.

My #washer stopped in the middle of a load, made a trill I'd never heard before, and displayed "OF6" (or OFb) as an #ErrorCode. I suspected it meant unbalanced load (even though the machine hadn't been jumping around), because what else can go wrong that you have a chance of fixing? I moved some stuff around, and all is well. A web search later confirmed the error. But you know what, Maytag? If you can display a three character code, you can scroll "unbalanced load" to be clear about it.
