Maybe I'm getting old. 🤔 The last few months I waited for the #Debian release to finally get the latest Gnome and other software in testing. And now that Bullseye is released... I feel no incentive to change my source list to testing. Everything works well and I'm happy. Let's see how long it will stay this way.

This will be really interesting to follow: "Software Freedom Conservancy files right-to-repair lawsuit against Vizio Inc. for alleged GPL violations".It is the first time someone tries to enforce the GNU GPL from the users perspective and not as the copyright owner. @malteThat's wrong, in the beginning Qt was non-free. That's why in 1997 two projects where started:1. A free KDE replacement called GNOME2. A free drop-in replacement for Qt called HarmonyOnly in 1999 Qt was released as Free Software. Of course you never know what would have happened without GNOME and Harmony but it is not completely irrational to say that thanks to this projects we have a free Qt and KDE today.@brainblasted

I switched my working laptop to #Fedora and I have to admit that I already felt in love. You can see and feel that they try to build a product ready for day-to-day use and not just a collection of great Free Software. It's are just all the small details which sum up to a great user experience especially in the combination with #Gnome.

@pixelfed Do it the Open Source way: release early, release often.A missing mobile app is still the main reason holding me back using my pixelfed account more regularly. I assume I'm not the only one.

@apps I'm always impressed how quickly you bring a UI to Fedilab for "hidden" Mastodon features like in this case managing the tags I follow or in the past the ability to schedule toots. Keep up the great work!

My (probably controversial) take of the day: I prefer #Threads supporting a open #w3c standard over something like #Bluesky with their not invented here syndrome.#OpenStandards and a free #web means that everyone can participate and everyone can talk to everyone.
