If you're interested, here's 45 seconds of some blues I recorded the other day. I'm playing both tracks, recorded in Audacity. Experimenting with tones. Thanks for checking it out!#blues #guitar #musicproduction

Looking for suggestions for using #obsidian for creating rpg game, so quests, characters, map, lore, etc. Preferably something plugin-lite. I suppose it would be kind of like creating a DnD campaign. My first time out in Obsidian for this, so any and all ideas are welcome!#rpg #gamecreation #minecraft #contentcreation

My #emacs learning journey this week focused on accessing my Google Drive (success with rclone), copying and syncing a folder (also success with rclone). Now that I’m planning to add another #linuxmint machine into the mix, I’m wondering if I need something different for 2 way syncing with multiple machines. Next week’s project! But I’m happy with my learning progress.

Any #ironsworn fans out here? Just investigating and I think it would very a blast to play solo. Or maybe on VTT Foundry with my granddaughter. Looking for resources and advice. I’ve found the subreddit and am reading the rulebook. Thanks!

@lextenebris I'm not sure exactly how this works. So all players log in to central account and they can all see the campaign, world notes, etc.? Or does each player only see their own stats/dice rolls/moves, etc. How is it different from Roll20 or Foundry?Sorry, new to both VTT's and #ironsworn. I have DM TTRPGS for 3.5 and 5e DnD.

@lextenebris Thanks for the super detailed and helpful response! I'm actually working on creating a character right now with this tool so I can get the feel of it. So do all the characters stats for all the players reside on the shared URL, or does each player have access to their own stuff on their own device?Loving #ironsworn so far! Interested in trying solo playing as well. I've DM'ed both 3.5e and 5e for middle schoolers, and I infinitely prefer this low magic, story-centric approach.

@lextenebris Thanks for all the suggestions and insights! From a fellow dweller in the South (CHS in SC). I'm reading your digital garden right now. If you're interested you can check out mine in my profile.

I'm totally getting into #ironsworn. Loving the setting, mechanics, and flexibility (solo, guided, or co-op play). Also loving the story first approach, and the low magic and low math(!) environment. Big thanks to @lextenebris for lots of help getting my feet wet.And there's a connection to #emacs! I first heard about it on @howard talk on solo roleplaying at an Emacsconf. In fact, I was listening to the talk one night and was so intrigued I looked up Ironsworn at midnight. Now hooked!

@nukehavoc May I ask what wiki you use for chronicling solo treks? How exactly does that work, both synchonously and asynchronously? I'm new to both #ironsworn and online co-op play, though not to roleplaying in general.

I wrote a beginning chapter/journal entry for my first #ironsworn adventure. What came out is here in this link to the story on GDrive. No editing, just trying to bang out an "inciting incident" and a vow and a character. Not sure how good it is, but it seems workable to me right now. Written originally with #orgmode, of course!https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZeKXN2EYvDeb22F8MdDi2zfIC55kS2Oj8TS6WuJE7CU/edit?usp=sharing

@lextenebris Thanks for the reply. So far I'm having 2 issues -- getting it printed with facing pages (as in a zine) and also inserting a blank page after the cover, so that all the facing pages line up correctly.

Doing my last deep dive in #ironsworn and hoping it sticks this time. Reading Delve and "envisioning" how things might develop. Open for tips, as I'm coming from a very OSR-like mindset. But I do love writing and literature, so I think Fiction First might somehow work for me.

@lextenebris Thanks for the reply, and yes, I'd love to see the vast numbers of examples! It's helpful to think of #ironsworn as the inversion of OSR. I do love old school gaming, but I also love to imagine and write. Thus my interest in IS.
