@todayilearned FIFTEEN minutes is quite a long time; surely 39 times longer than most mouthwash gargling: isn't it the duration that makes the difference, rather than the actual liquid that is used?

@futurebird @chris_evelyn Why would you want a complaint email to be less harsh? Wouldn't that just water down what you need to say?As I get older (And morph into a grumpy old git) I value clarity over politeness. Too many misunderstanding arise because we are afraid to say what we mean

@Oneironaut @futurebird I can't draw. But I can scribble.And when I have scribbled enough (in pencil), I can look at the page to see it I can discern any images. And if I can then I go over them in pen, and say that is the beginning of a picture

@futurebird around 5 minutes from cold to get a medium saucepan of water boiling.definitely gets a frying pan hot enough to Burn Things surprisingly quickly

@futurebird @craiglambie42 @dobetterinstitute @fedipay I heard somewhere that Pay-as-you-go phone companies allowed anyone in the world to top up payments, and also allowed the owner to withdraw some of their pay-as-you-go balance,and this turned in to a major way to send funds to relatives in Vietnam and India* Was this ever true* Is it still a thing* would it be helpful in this situation?
