@BrodieOnLinux Considering Debian is also moving to Wayland in the next version, which is mostly frozen recently, I expect the global usage will rise slowly but steadily. From my experience, Debian does what it does best. Like Pipewire, I only noticed the migration with some font rendering differences and presence of X11/Wayland bridge in the system tray. Oh, also Espanso broke, but it's expected. :D

@foone @alienghic Well, yes. Firefox was using Netscape’s “profile manager” until a couple of months ago, even.It has evolved massively over the years, but Firefox is direct descendant of Navigator. Used to use Mozilla 0.9.5 on Knoppix.

@evgandr @nikitonsky Sysadmin of a fleet containing liquid cooling here.Closed loop liquid cooling doesn't lose much water during normal operations, but datacenters using a nearby body of water heats up that body in a considerable amount. On top of that humidity balancing systems in dry climates inject a lot of water into datacenter air if the systems are air cooled.Your water inlet is ~20 degrees C and return water is at ~40 - ~45 degrees C. It's not nothing.

@m0xEE @AnachronistJohn @evgandr @nikitonsky Reddit is probably the biggest natural language conversation dataset on the planet right now, and many of its users are not aware of this fact.I'm not contributing there, anymore.

@Neotheta Kagi is not "smol" like Marginalia et. al, but use a mix of their own indexes plus indexes of others. It's not a free service, but that's the nice part of it. You buy the product, and you're not the product.I use them for quite some time and not receiving ads and finding good results worth it, IMHO.

@hyc @nikitonsky I'd attribute this more to experience rather than capability.Of course some people are more natural at programming than others, but I believe that everyone can achieve everything.

@foone Welcome to Sony, where they can pull some insane things, just because they can.Like their Alpha cameras using multiple and completely different ASICs per model, and they all run at maximum performance it's designed for.Or rivaling high end headphones with their low-end models, because they're designing amplifiers and DSPs since the stone age.

@foone @jamesbooker I personally found out about you via HN, but some of the users are unpleasant to interact with, to put it very mildly.OTOH, I'm not bothered by your writing style. I just get slightly agitated when threads are not complete because you decided to pick up another keyboard project, but that's OK.Who am I to judge the RevEng and Keyboard god of the internet? =)Please keep up the good threads.
