@nancybaym I'm embarrassed to admit that I enjoy IG mainly for the highly targeted ads. It reminds me of that experience of killing time by browsing SkyMall Magazine and looking at fun gadgets for problems I didn't know I had.

@Gargron I suspect the best way to help Mastodon is to move away from large instances like mastodon.social. That would mean making it easier for more people/organizations to run instances independently. Perhaps have a partnership with AWS/Azure/GCP for a one-click installation.
