       If #Mastodon is going to scale it is going to need something like #IPFS to reduce duplication of data across instances. Right now you get a potential  2 to the nth data usage  if the social graph get's more  interconnected. This is unsustainable and unnecessary. Also will consume more energy.

       @gretathunberg I think this shows the limitations of the #algorithm-less #mastodon. This post should have so many more reactions and boosts with your 50K followers. Unfortunately, old posts quickly  get buried in the chronological timeline. It is a shame, because it stops important toots from going viral. I think the #fediverse is going to need opt-in user controlled recommendation algorithms to truly rival #twitter.

       @admin I'm a bit worried that something like this might eat up the decentralized part of the fediverse. I hope they will opt for a open and respectful implementation that promotes the fediverse to expand and grow while maintaining user freedom.

       @paul @kino @admin I wonder how this will affect privacy. These commercial instances could potentially start mining federated user data? But that would probably break GDPR and stuff.

       @veanova @SnabelAdmin @themayor Jeg tenker det er lurt å opprette en organisasjon for å hjelpe norske #fødivers/#allheim instanser med diverse problemer, donasjoner og moderering. Både snabelen og oslo.town er enpersonshow og dette setter hele systemet i stor risiko. #NorskTut
