@mischievoustomato I feel like the Linux ecosystem is slowly becoming slop anyway. They really didn't need to start using AI to get it done, but I commend them for their efforts to speeding up the shitification of Linux.

@VD15 Keep going with the petition. Don't know about you, but I didn't think you'd get anything else from your government as a response. The actual tiny amount of hope comes from the Parliament being forced to debate things. Not much is likely going to happen the first time around, which is why I said this will likely necessitate someone else making another petition similar to this. And another. And another. Force them to redebate this topic again and again, until they either give in, or they shutdown the government petition site. At which point, the public has another avenue of attack against the government, showing it for the authoritarian dictator it's trying to become.

@ZMAN13337 This shit doesn't even make sense... what the actual fuck?! I get Spotify being age restricted, cause 18+ rap songs with "nigger" in them. I get Wikipedia being age restricted cause "controversial" topics, like Nazism, or race and human genetics, or even something simple like current day immigration numbers. There is at least a hint of reason for why the government would want to censor these platforms, that aren't in the "social media" category. But I just can't comprehend this... They banned Western internet, they banned VPNs for their population, but their CCP members, and select propagandists use VPNs and go on Twitter to spread propaganda. So congrats UK. I feel like you guys will have fun with this video. (the racist bastards among you that is)I'm not particularly shocked to be honest. Don't know how active they are these days, but whispers have it that Gypsies here had something similar going. There was a time when you'd see a lot of beggars with physical malformations in my country. Some of the worst I've witnessed consisted of feet literally being twisted the wrong way around. You'd see them as kids, then as adults... Haven't seen one in ages though. Don't know if they died out, or if authorities managed to place them in a caring facility, away from their abusers. @LukeAlmighty I honestly can't even comprehend these censorious bastards these days. The internet was probably the biggest driving force of globalism. Everyone is aware that the lefties that are pushing these censorship laws and policies are globalists. They probably orgasm at the thought of one world government. But then they go and nerf the one tool that would have brought them globalism by itself, without them doing anything at all. I know these people are not particularly smart, but this really is a brain dead move.

@LukeAlmighty Don't worry, the sperg out was interesting. To me it's starting to look like we're not getting neither "slave in heaven" nor "king in hell" scenarios, but rather a "slave in hell" one. For almost a decade I've considered the idea that the Internet should be declared and acknowledged as its own independent state, with a constitution and laws completely separate from any country's laws (though I think an Internet constitution would ultimately end up being inspired by the US Constitution). Of course, I don't really know how it could be put into practice, and I don't know if it could actually work. But still, I feel like the global Internet is such an unique creation, that for it to continue allowing international interactions, this would be the only way to achieve that. But it seems that this dream will likely end soon enough. We'll gonna end up with a couple of networks instead. The Americas (north and south continents) will likely be one network. EU and a few other European countries will be another. The Islamic world will likely separate too. China is already its own thing. Russia will follow suit too. And there are a few more countries, and Africa, that I don't know for sure what will happen to them, but they'll likely stick with America for a while longer.

@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty I'm wondering if the issue is that they're narcissistic sociopaths, and the issue isn't that it's not the globalism that they want, but rather that it's not THEM that brought upon globalism. Maybe they have a savior complex of sorts, and they want to receive credit for creating the One World Government. So they can't allow the average humans themselves to interact with one another like this and come to a global mutual understanding by themselves. Cause on the face of it, they don't want people to be racist, islamaphobes, etc., they claim they want everyone to be equal and treat everyone else the same, they want cultures to mix, but then they don't allow humans to freely interact online and learn from and about each other. There's literal studies that show that the best way to reduce bigotry is exposure. You'd think the internet would have been the perfect tool for a natural exposure therapy, where people learn about other cultures, without the socio-economical issues that come from mass migration.But the internet wasn't their creation, and isn't their domain, so instead they force mass migration as the exposure method, and limit the internet so it can't get credit for creating the multicultural global utopia (in case it ever comes around). At this point, that utopia is definitely not going to come, because instead of opting for the safe, self-controlled exposure of the internet, they went with unsafe, uncontrolled, mass migration instead. It's like the difference between trying to cure arachnophobia with exposure to plushies that look like spiders and trying to cure arachnophobia by forcing the person in the same room with hundreds of the most dangerous spiders in the world. One is helpful with reducing trauma, the other will drastically increase it. The internet had the ability to reduce bigotry, mass migration has the ability to vastly increase it.
