       @grammargirl @bodhipaksa Really? I didn't know that.

       @grammargirl @bodhipaksa Interesting. I always capitalized them (Ps and Qs). I didn't realize the apostrophe was officially allowed in that sort of case.

       Hey ChatGPT, stop editorializing in your image descriptions. I used Be My AI yesterday several times as we were driving to and from the Apple Store. It kept saying things like “There are mostly green leaves, but some colored one are mixed in, suggesting it is early autumn." No. Just tell me the mix of colors and stop there. Don't tell me the scene is tranquil, or rustic, or peaceful. Just. Describe. The. Image. Don't insert comments that color how I interpret the rest of the description.

       That complaint aside, it was very impressive. It told me about a Wendy's across the street, though it lied about the sign saying the Wendy's was hiring. It described the cars in front of me at the gas station. It told me about the trees, utility poles, and guardrails as we drove. It even once added that there was a glare on the window it was looking through, which a sighted person confirmed was right because of the angle of the sun. Nothing overly useful, but more details are never bad.

       @grammargirl I just closed a tab. I'm now down to 85 in my main Firefox instance. On another desktop, used more for development, I have ten or so tabs open to various web projects and searches. My main problem is that I'll open something, think "Yep, I'll need to get back to this one day within the next year or so. I'll leave it open." and then do that again a few days later. To be fair to myself, I *do* return to some of them later, sometimes much later.

       @grammargirl That's a much more difficult question to answer than I expected. I'm not in the "no way" camp, but I don't love it either. I'd rather hear the listener's own voice, or have you read it. But is that just my bias toward the familiar? If you gave Aardvark and Squiggly their own, recognizable AI voices, I honestly don't know if I'd love it or hate it. I'm all for AI, but I can't tell what's making me hesitate about letting it touch my podcasts.

       @grammargirl Now I just need to find the time, story idea, and talent. I'm a decent writer, but not of stories. There's a special art to being able to bring one's imagination to life in the minds of readers. Then there's dialog, character development, and so much else. Daunting is the only word that comes to mind.

       Perhaps one of my favorite discoveries in Python is how to print a line that refreshes. Counters, timers, that kind of thing. NVDA stays on the line, and I can monitor it with braille as only part of the line changes. At least on Windows, it's simply `print("my string", '\r')`If the string is mostly the same, but only a number or word changes, it's perfect for "watching" on a braille display.

       I'm an out-of-touch guy not involved with all that much internet culture, so I don't know or get today's slang. I can usually work out the meaning and how it came about, but there's one I'm stuck on. I'm starting to hear more people use "arsed" to mean "bothered to". Example: "It'd take 2 minutes for this company to add this feature, but they can't be arsed to." When? Why? CC @grammargirl

       Today, I got the Moderna COVID vaccine in my right arm, and this year's flu vaccine in my left. I'll be curious to find out which arm hurts more in the coming days. And yes, doubling them up like this drastically improves the 5G signal my brain can receive. Would recommend. My government-issued nanotrackers have never had better ping times.

       @grammargirl I voted no. The thing is, the reference sounds very familiar. I just can't place it.

       @grammargirl I haven't seen that one. Must have been something referenced by someone I know. The memory remains stubbornly illusive.

       I keep getting podcast auto ads for gun stuff. Specifically, a silencer company, and a concealed carry organization. The latter calls gun owners "protectors", which feels very slimy. My understanding is that the statistics don't show this to be at all true. Plus, ad companies, I'm blind. I'm not getting a silencer, nor am I ever getting a concealed carry license. But hey, this is America. Sadly, I should expect this.

       I don't mind guns in certain contexts. I've shot plenty of them, from .22 to 7.62 to shotguns. I do think America needs far better and more strict gun regulation, and I have mixed feelings on hunting for sport. But if you like target shooting, or antique firearms, I have no problem with that. It's the ads that suggest you can be a hero and a protector if you carry a gun everywhere that I don't like.

       I get why they don't, but sometimes I wish @NVAccess could force all add-ons to include an automatic update feature. One NVDA command could install all available NVDA add-on updates, and re-enable any that had been disabled when NVDA itself was updated and made some add-ons incompatible.

       @frameworkcomputer I like my Framework 13. There are three things I'd change, though, in descending order.First, QMK support for the keyboard. I'll buy a new input cover with no hesitation if one comes out with QMK.Better wifi signal. I've tried MediaTech and two AX210 cards, but the signal is never that great. An external USB adapter works perfectly.A more reliable fingerprint reader. Mine has gotten worse in recent weeks. Even before that, it wasn't perfect, but worked.

       @frameworkcomputer Do you have any idea how happy you'll make me if you announce that Framework is getting into the electronic braille display space? A modular, self-serviceable braille display? Ah, what a nice dream.

       I watched a video where the host unboxed the Fairphone 6. That's the new one. He mentioned that some of the internal packaging had braille, so I asked in r/fairphone. Turns out the braille tells the user to scan this QR code, which links to fairphone.com/accessibility. I was impressed, until I went to that address and found it just redirects to the main help page. There's nothing specific to accessibility there. Worse, it seems fairphone.com might use an accessibility overlay?
