@marcan in times like this I think many new users will try out fedi and probably go back.Fedi always had it's own core community and close to anarchistic nature.Of course, I'm not telling you won't find followers here because there a lot of hardcore geeks that at least heard about you. But current hype will fade at some point.

@marcan fedi had critical mass since 2016 when Mastodon is released. Even before that in StatusNet days public timeline looked quite alive.And nowhere to go, I never used Twitter and honestly don't understand the deal. Except that it's centralized proprierary etc etc.

@marcan I never used Twitter and many of my friends too. Let alone the fact that Twitter is not so popular in this part of the planet. For me it's not "everyone".Fediverse was stable for a while and it won't go off. Even without current hysteria.

@foxhkron @smaecks some admins still don't know what relays are.also don't recommend approving such bots. They are public and controlled by practially random people and will scrape your followers only posts, making this feature useless.

@splitshockvirus nothing much. First they said how some youtuber ported Half-Life to smartwatches and gave no credit to us who really programmed the port, FWGS. Thing is, these watches are just Android devices that can run most Android software without a change.And second they called a reverse engineered game engine an "emulator to run old games written Windows". This time they gave credit to me, except failed to copypaste my real name from GitHub.I don't know who wrote this first and who copied it, but of course it's just easier to blame every journalist. :)

I tried mobilizon once and it somehow removed me as an event creator, and assigned to random federated actor.This was reported to devs but I never opened mobilizon since.
