@amolith I doubt you'll want to do this project but it is interesting. He used a 42" 4K TV running off a Pi 4 to make a Digital Dashboard. And then put Google Calendar on it. That part was disappointing.https://invidio.us/watch?v=BR_yko0gr-Y

@amolith I agree with all of your points. It is more of a "keep in mind" thing while exploring possibilities. I mean, with that hardware setup, you could put Kodi on it and write a screen saver plugin that displays what you want. It's still a financial investment and a lot of power consumption, etc. but with lots of options, even a different kind of display screen.
