Well. If that disk failed, good riddance. I'm not going to bother installing it again and I'll wait until the two games work under WINE. Literally every time I booted into it, I was astounded with how fucking slow to do anything it is. I don't understand how people can choose to use Windows.

@amolith The time it takes for make to start doing anything in Windows is shocking. Does Windows cache anything?

@LovesTha I don't have any idea what Windows tries to do under the hood but, on Linux, I can go from powered off to desktop in 15-20 seconds not counting credential entry. I haven't measured but Windows feels like it's at least a minute.

@amolith because they dont know something else. And are to lazy to look for something new. The sad thing is that many people are forcing others to use Windows...

@amolith I've got a script that I run all the time that is essentially:Make cleanMake var=AMake cleanMake var=BOn Linux those makes take less than a second to start delivering or compiling files. On Windows make needs 20 seconds to figure out what it is doing. Simply queuing the status of a lot of files is slow in Windows

@amolith I think Windows was broke before you were born. But that's my opinion.
