@PennyLope @ArtistBristol @HebrideanHecate @Ladyfat @NeedaGin i had relatives who worked with people with learning difficulties including Downs and they ‘worked’ in those days packing toiletries into boxes for large cosmetic companies for pennies as it was considered therapeutic work. Thats changed now, but they are still open to exploitation, their needs are no less expensive than everyone else?

@HebrideanHecate so its not an illness but causes criminal behaviour that cant be controlled, while receiving free NHS surgery? What other conditions get you free surgical care when you dont have an illness?

@GrumpyOldNurse @ghost_ @tangleofsnakes sorry I never believe any of these fantastic stories, its just astroturfing by TRA pretending such ideas and attitudes are commonplace. Its bs.

@Rogue_Koala so many facile ideas around now. Another one in transideology is “i know myself better than anyone else”. Actually when it comes to human psychology we know that isnt true. People can be mentally ill, most have at least one ‘blind spot’, our memories and minds use rationalisations to hide things we dont like about ourselves, we project onto others etc etc. These are just words used to insist on getting your own way regardless of others. TRA i see have little or no real self awareness at all.

@MaidenMotherCrone @Ismat This is a class issue, working class women were used by the upper classes as wetnurses to their babies and as nursemaids, then later as governesses. Certainly this was so in UK and much of Europe. That doesnt mean that some white women didnt benefit from racism. For so long women werent allowed to work, or be educated and be self sufficient. Men held the purse strings and control of them. In the USA and other parts of the world this may have been different, and of course structural racism has been built in. My feeling is that dividing women into smaller groups lessens our power to force change. Tiny groups of men have managed to change society in a decade, women dont have that type of power, we need to unite.

@MaidenMotherCrone @Ismat @NoniRose that is not what is being said. I dont tolerate racism from anyone and i also dont tolerate people interested in driving wedges between women.

@MaidenMotherCrone @Ismat @NoniRose and in the UK class is a massive difference between women since feminisms origins there has been an issue with working class women feeling excluded. I speak as a w/c woman. But i still see the category of woman as overwhelmingly important within all the divisions.

@NoniRose @Ismat @MaidenMotherCrone 100% agree we cant splinter, all women are threatened by this even the ones that dont think they are.

@Nicotiana it puzzles me why doing that to society is seen as a good thing? How is disrupting society going to create a good functioning society for the majority of people? Who does it benefit and how?

@LostInCalifornia why do middle class men love TIM so much? Women never got this sort of support from them when fighting for their rights. Is it really just a great cover for misogyny?
