@Chronic-Yonic I feel like beyondslayed. If I see a roach, I want to clean more. Insects eat food crumbs. I don't want to see a roach in my place.

@Yhe_XX_Estate I had a gf who moved to NYC in late 1988 and whenever I could I went to visit her. Would you believe me if I told you that before NYC, I had never seen a cockroach?

@FloozyDarlington @Chronic-Yonic Night duty in an old UK hospital used to see them climbing up the walls. In some nurses homes too.

@Teresa @Chronic-Yonic @FloozyDarlington D.C. is basically built on what was swamp land (there is even a part of town called Foggy Bottom). It was donated by Maryland and Virginia to make a new independent federal capital and of course they only parted with land that couldn't be farmed. Until the invention of air conditioning Congress had to take a long summer recess because the humidity and heat was unbearable. It always feels like the swamp (and its creatures) are trying to take their rightful home back.
