@futurebird Not only is the uncertainty a bit high, but that date is actually prior to K-Pg extinction to the precision we do know it, 13.787 ± 0.020 Ga (to the best of my knowledge). I'm sure they'll be excited to find they've been in the Cretaceous all along!

@futurebird My smart watch is the easiest way I've found to geotag my camera photos (using Garmin Basecamp), it provides useful alarms (helpful for Pomodoro technique at work), record my exercise (so I can make sure I do enough) ... it's more a sci-fi computer that can tell time rather than a watch.

If I'm not allowed to steal from my boss, stopping them stealing from me isn't 'overreach'. #AusPol

@futurebird @alexpsmith @justafrog @iBlame Do not sit on their nests, though. Girl in my class made that mistake in primary school and I have not forgotten it.

'Oh the person in front of me was doing under the speed limit so I got frustrated and then <insert a self-absolving description for driving recklessly>!'If you lack the emotional regulation to drive safely under the mildest adversity, you're not a 'good driver who occasionally gets frustrated', you're a bad driver who frequently gets lucky.I would go so far as to say 'shouldn't be driving at all', but I recognise a lot of places are impossible to live without a car.#CarCentrism

(My dislike of car-culture has ramped up to eleven since I spent over a month in a sling after dodging a massive Yank-tank who cut the corner and drove on the wrong side of the road without even checking for pedestrians or cyclists, and didn't even have the decency to stop to see if I was alright)

@futurebird Ooh for me 1 & 3 are easy, but 2 requires research.1. Killing me Softly (With His Song) –particularly the Shirley Bassey version2. Song of the United Front – fairly obscure in English, if not in its original German (Das Einheitsfrontlied), my favourite English cover is Kaiser Cat Cinema's. 3. Bad Squire – by Chumbawamba, a song version of the Kingsley poem about the Inclosure Acts.
