I don't know what to do about this : there's a rumour among the kids at my daughter's middle school that the math teacher was transferred there last year after having declared his ❤️ to a female student at his previous school. My daughter is very unhappy about this and believes the rumor is true. We talked about not really being in a position to know if it is true or not... But I told her to try not to have close contact with him (the internet can explain math to her too, right?), and to pass the rumor on to as many girls as possible in case it is true. I wonder if I was wrong to tell her to pass the rumor around (even though I asked her to emphasise that it's a rumor at this time), or if there is something more I should do. We're in Japan and I have language issues, so I don't see myself talking to him or the school at this point.Any comments would be great! Even negative ones, because I am not really sure of myself.

@blackilocks Unhappily, I agree with you. They are (almost) always up to something stupid. I think we know that viscerally, and that's why when women act like handmaidens it's so much more upsetting.In the case of Whatshisname from the above post, I suspect he augments his income through "sex work", although why he would refer to himself as a whore(as in "whorephobic") is beyond me!

She seems a bit nutty to me (not a mental health professional, and I'm nutty on a daily basis anyway...) She's been writing this thread for 2 hours already. Her evidence of people attacking is Non existent - the worst thing is that she has screen shots imo).Why is she even involved? This started when K Stock got her angry pants on about the people laughing at JJ, and got called out by S Philmore (?). JC didn't need to martyr herself for this. 'Narcissist' is overused these days, like 'abusive' and so many others words, but in the context of one person (or clique) denouncing and exposing others (to potential villification by strangers who may judge them thoughtlessly) as a way to excuse her own questionable actions, I think it suits very well.Whew! Sorry all. I can't seem to express myself clearly today.I've read and applauded your ( and others') analysis of how feminism fits into left/right politics. I hadn't thought of any of that! I know that I'm on the left and I don't care who else is or isn't. Some bad actors can't change my belief system, and I'm surprised that someone could feel threatened or discredited by bumping up against someone with other beliefs; so much that she would denounce that person publicly. Without thought to that person's mental health! When Dr Stock, as one example, did the Feminst Current podcast with Natasha Chart (the subject was about the wisdom of aligning with the right to advance certain goals), I wonder if she was thinking of how much Chart and Wolf and others had sacrificed of their own mental health for women and children. Maybe she was, and didn't care because of the connection with the political right. That would be a bit narcissistic, right? Or at least ruthless. And if she didn't spend a thought, that would be too. In any case, I'm a lousy judge (and I'm a nervous breather too😉) , but someone (who is qualified) on Twitter used 'narcissist'' to describe some of these women's actions and I haven't been able to argue with that.
