Thanks for the generous boost offer @SDF !I'm an amateur photographer and my niche seems to be taking photos as friends' cabaret shows. I've been fairly inactive during the pandemic but having recently moved, am rebuilding my darkroom slowly but surely.I've started putting pics on Pixelfed (https://pixelfed.sdf.org/lastcall) and my film insta is https://instagram.com/lastcallphoto/) Attached is a personal fav (the scratching was my handling of the film but I get tons of positive comments on the esthetic)

@SDF is there anything special needed to be done to activate https on MA? My http site works but https loads ma.sdf.org instead? I'll ask for help later on bboard I'm sure I just missed a step

In case anyone didn't know, the "Jesus Gets You" ads were paid for by many anonymous donors but also explicitly by the Hobby Lobby ghouls, so you know exactly what version of Jesus they believe in.

Internet oldster question:I've noticed the "young people" (aka under 30) ending sentences with a tilde instead of (or in additon to ) a period.What does this mean? Like "Good morning~" instead of "Good Morning."?#getoffmylawn

My bike ride to work goes past a couple of massage shops of, let's say, questionable legitimacy, and I noticed today that the Jehovah's Witnesses had set up right in front of one of them.Maybe they are after the patrons of the donut shop next door but the visuals were pretty funny to me.

@foone I'm guessing it was a pandemic "fever detection" cash grab and they could charge whatever they wanted for it so faster > cheaper.I looked at similar units for my employer and they were asking between 500-1500 for them. We passed and bought a cheap forehead thermometer instead.

Hey #fediverse heroes, what #blogging platform do you recommend for a single user posting random musings. AP integration would be nice (so people can follow) but I don't think that I need a mastodon style multi-user social network.Locally hosted, Docker preferred but can spin up a new VM or LXC container if needed.Thanks!

The foster kittens are getting a health check today and will probably "graduate" into being spayed/neutered and put up for adoption.We started with 7, lost 2 to parvo, were told the other 5 had little chance. All 5 are now happy healthy and bouncing off the walls!I will miss the hell out of the little buggers but I think they have been given a good start and will make their adopters very very happy!#catsofmastodon #fosterkittens

@picnoir You most likely already checked but Framework has a bunch of 12th and 13th gen motherboards in their outlet now at discounted prices. In case you can find an upgrader looking to part with theirs.

@foone For about 10 years I had registered "Instagramaphone.com" and always wanted to make a site where your pristine digital audio world be digitally degraded like Instagram filters do to photos. Never got around to it and eventually got enough threats from Meta that i just gave it to them.
