@SDF Might be worth noting that the Mastodon link shouldn't include a trailing slash, as that caught me because I'd copied the address from the address bar.

@zoerhoff also as @talideon mentioned the trailing / on your URL may cause problems. Just put https://zoerhoff.freeshell.org as your Verification URL and it should show verified soon.

@SDF i think my problem is that im using a prebuilt website platform(godaddy). And i have no idea how to add actual html code. Also its an http site not https. Which im trying to figure out how to change.

@SDF is there anything special needed to be done to activate https on MA? My http site works but https loads ma.sdf.org instead? I'll ask for help later on bboard I'm sure I just missed a step

For anybody struggling with this, a few notes:The name of the link isn't important, but it must be an HTTPS link containing the required HTML.http://ne1for23.sdf.org won't work, but https://sdf.org/~ne1for23 will.Use mkhomepg -d on the shell to enable tilde user hosting (SDF members).
