       @SlicerDicer the problem with those who still don’t see the problem isn’t information or being unable to comprehend that info. It’s due to lack of interest. Disinformation and the amount of that plays a role too, but IMHO mostly as an amplification factor.😞

       Wenn ich Vorschläge höre “tätliche Angriffe” auf politische Amtsträger oder Politiker allgemein als staatsgefährdende Straftaten einzustufen dann sehe ich den Wunsch und die Intention, sehe aber auch, dass solche Vorschläge nicht ansatzweise durchdacht sind. Das gilt dann auch für rechtsextreme Politiker.Je nach Definition evtl. sogar für ihre Helfer. Könnt ihr euch ausmahlen wie die AfD so etwas gegen andere einsetzen wird?1/

       Auch sollte man bedenken, das strafrechtlich “tätlicher Angriff” nicht bedeutet, dass das Opfer körperlich verletzt wird: “wobei bei einer weiten Auslegung des Begriffs eine körperliche Berührung oder auch nur ein darauf zielender Vorsatz des Täters nicht erforderlich ist. Somit muss es weder zur körperlichen Verletzung kommen noch muss eine solche gewollt sein. Dadurch wären bereits Handlungen unter der Schwelle der versuchten Körperverletzung vom Begriff des tätlichen Angriffs umfasst.2/

       @ErikUden Die gleichen die bisher nach jeder von Trump gewonnen Wahl „wie können die Amis nur so dumm sein“ sagen, die in den letzten Jahre immer deutlicher werdenden Parallelen* zwischen US Republikanern und der Post-Merkel CDU als Unfug abtun und dann bei der BTW ihr Kreuz bei der Union machen.* Schließt die deutschen Versionen der „die Demokraten sind nicht gut genug!“-Wähler mit ein.

       @stefano Fuck yeah! I remember a long long time ago attending a conference in Bologna with a colleague who was a native speaker b/c his parents were from Italy. We were eating at various restaurants that tourist (or other conference attendees) would go to. One had its menu on a wall mounted chalk board.Had by far the best Italian food I ever had. Just wish I was either speaking Italian or that I was a better cook ;)

       @stefano I never got the sushi thing. It’s one of the very few things that still puzzles me to this day. It’s not just that I don’t like it. I “get” why people like other stuff I don’t like and vice versa. Whatever, I don’t have to understand everything ;-)Too bad I don’t understand nor speak any Italian to go to those restaurants that still offer good local food.Learning won’t work. My brain seems to be totally incompatible with romance languages for some reason.

       @stefano I’m open to most western food. My only rules: No insects, nothing with a hard shell[1] and it must not be able to “look” at me.[1] One exception: mussels, both, italian and french variants. Last time I had good mussels was in 2021, when we spent a bit more than a week in a friends “vacation home” in the wider Venetia area, just before tourist season started.

       @Nonilex Yet they and others (like GWB) took part in paving the way and shaping the GOP in a way that lead to where things are today. There were many seemingly unimportant moments like Regans „I‘m paying for this microphone“ and some more noticeable steps on the path to today like GWB‘s election and him creating DHS &amp; ICE.Some warned about the risk of these things, but most didn’t b/c the road to racism is lined with people telling everybody not to overreact.

       @stux It‘s not just a theoretical thing for me. I‘ve been coming to the US almost every year for the past 20+ years. I won‘t come until it is safe* for me (business) or my wife (private travel/vacation) again.
