@mike i especially like that by only spending some time, my Qtile looks like windows on Monday, full on (well almost) macOS on Wednesday and then catppuccin on Friday. Granted the Qtile bar stays on top, and mostly it’s a gtk/color change. But still it’s within 1 WM and so much difference.

@BrodieOnLinux it’s sad but somewhat ‘creative’ at the same time

@array @sotolf @shellkr @paul @Friction you’re welcome. Glad you fixed it. I myself use Wayland and swap Qtile and Hyprland on a weekly basis. But my config is quite simple. Like said above I rarely have more than 2 things open on 1 workspace (I use a laptop) so the ‘flexibility’ is not that important. I just like having the options. Started i3, used bspwm fully happy for quite some time then Qtile, then swap to Wayland, now Qtile and Hyprland

@sotolf @array @shellkr @paul @Friction yeah. Wayland for me is quite usable because my laptop is : movie, music, browsing and a little coding. So very low usage demands

@dnkl short q. Hyprland and trying fnott. Starting from within WM works. Autostart doesn’t. I tried in hyprland.conf “exec-once=fnott”. And in my startup.sh “fnott &.” Both give: GDBus error : recipient disconnected from message bus without replying. So app fnott isn’t starting. I use the .config/user file. Should I use the -c flag in the startup? Or try something else?

@BrodieOnLinux the one plus-side I see is that the store was perhaps ‘cleaner’ in terms of malicious apps. Otherwise i don’t see the benefits

@twizzay @RL_Dane I have a Redmi Note 7 spare.. i experimented with postmarketos (wont boot) and Ubuntu Touch (works nice but misses to much) as hardcore no-Google.. Currently running Pixel Experience Rom. Full on Google but just to try running it. Looks are nice. But yeah..customRom and Google . So was looking at /e/OS .. will look into Calyx..
