Are rice cookers supposed to bubble over and all over the place leaving a huge fucking mess? I usually make rice without one on the stovetop, but I got gypped one too many times by the rice not cooking the same despite doing everything exactly the same way. I bought a basic zojirushi cooker thinking it'd make life easier, and sure enough first go it bubbles all over the damn place leaving a nasty rice sludge all around it. The rice was pretty good despite this.

@Malarkey33 I use a dutch oven with a heavy lid before for rice and yeah there's no issues with boil-overs, my problem is that if I cooked the same rice using the exact same volumes of rice, water, etc., and the same times and heats, I'd get different rice every time. Was hoping the cooker would prevent this issue and simplify things, but it seems to have very messy side-effects

@PNS this video kind of old, I remember the guy telling him to leave was the owner or something. The kid being a prick was one of those YouTube pranksters. Interesting how YouTube will ban or demonetize you for saying certain words or simple phrases, but harassing strangers is 100% ok with them. More of these kids are gonna end up stabbed, shot, etc doing this crap.

I love getting in debates about very controversial subjects at work. Today it was abortion. Look, I know some people don't agree, but I believe life starts at conception with the forming of unique DNA. In my own age group (millennial) and with those younger that seems to be a rare viewpoint. All the arguments otherwise are laughable and based on immoral concepts. Someone seriously tried to use the "people who are out here getting lots of bitches are usually pro-abortion" as if that was a defense

@cake @BoredStupid mine doesn't lay on his back. He will sometimes expose his belly while on his side, but he will try to bite if someone touches his belly. Apparently he used to be a stray before my mom adopted him from the pet shelter so that may explain his cautious behavior. I ended up with him after my mom had some mental health issues, so I've been putting up with him doing what he pleases since lol.

I'm so perplexed. I had 3 amazon packages (yes I am ashamed shopping with the devil) delivered today and 2 of them were evidently delivered to the wrong unit. I'm looking at the confirmation photo, and I can't figure out which unit it was dropped at because there is no unit here with the style of lock shown in the photo. There's only 12 units in the 4 buildings here, and I can see all the doors if I walk 30 feet from my own door, they are all arranged in an L shape facing the same lot. 🤔

@KillerMule I grew up pretty poor so I thought it was to keep roaches/mice out of your cups/bowls. Also on the off-chance a cup or something wasn't completely dry it was allowed to drain out.
