@ajroach42 I don't do much work on Linux, but I'd recommend looking in to Bitwig or Reaper, both cross-platform DAWs with solid followings and cross-platform support. One is more of an Ableton like (Bitwig was founded by ex Ableton people) while the other is more analogous to a ProTools.

There are a lot of things like this out there, weird-ass ancient kit cars that look like supercars but are built on VW bug floorpans, that no one wants because those classic VWs are themselves valuable with their original bodies, and no one wants a supercar with a 50 horsepower aircooled v-dub engine.However: There are kits out there for attaching common EV motors to old VW bellhousings, making these VW-based kitcars a lot easier to convert than more obscure classics.

Like obviously killing the runtime fee is a good thing to do, but it's been -so long- since it blew up in their face that I've already built a complete vertical slice of a fairly complex project in Godot.It's been so long since the runtime fee blew up in their faces that I've had time to jump ship to another platform, and learn it well enough to build my most serious project to date in.

@fribbledom The biggest problem with LLMs is they found their way into the hands of MBA types well before they should ever have been let out of a lab environment. They're really neat theoretically, but the Sam Altman's of the world should never have been allowed to convince people who don't know any better that you can think of an LLM like a person.

@futurebird I got rear ended by one of these almost a year ago because he pulled up behind me at a light, lost my ENTIRE CAR in his blindspot, and forgot I was there. Light turned green and he went before I did.I flinch a little every time I see one in my rear view mirror now.
