       There are a lot of things like this out there, weird-ass ancient kit cars that look like supercars but are built on VW bug floorpans, that no one wants because those classic VWs are themselves valuable with their original bodies, and no one wants a supercar with a 50 horsepower aircooled v-dub engine.However: There are kits out there for attaching common EV motors to old VW bellhousings, making these VW-based kitcars a lot easier to convert than more obscure classics.
