@adam They were elected by Farage lovers and they're desperately trying to curry any favour they can ahead of a potentially disastrous election.Non-paywalled link: https://archive.is/W7eyO

@tommythorn Here's the "DAC" (such as it is): https://github.com/emard/ulx3s/blob/master/doc/schematics_v316.pdfWhen the output voltage is around the midpoint, there's ~12.6 mA flowing in the 130 ohm resistor, even without the output connected to a 75 ohm load! That's quite a bit for an FPGA output. Maybe its output impedance varies a bit between the high and low states if it's being pushed this hard. Can you measure the voltage on AUDIO_V3 at the same time? I bet it's not quite reaching the supply rails.Just a guess, mind.

@adam Until I read this, I'd always assumed that the random person in Nebraska had actually volunteered for the role. Now I'm rethinking that assumption. Maybe I was wrong, and he just got kind of sucked in. Are you in Nebraska, by any chance? ;)

@tedu I do have to wonder how well the terms "crawling", "wriggling" and "writhing" are actually defined in the law."Your Honour, I contend that my client has not breached the order on this occasion, on the grounds that his behaviour would not be described as "crawling" by any reasonable person who witnessed it."

@simon What amazes me is that our method for controlling the behaviour of LLMs consists of ... telling them not to do things and hoping that they listen. How can anyone think this technology is ready for commercial application?

@tedu "404 Temporarily Not Found"Clients receiving this error SHOULD retry the request at intervals not exceeding one hour.Retries SHOULD be issued exactly on the hour, to coincide with everyone else's hourly cron jobs.

@hrefna Or you could just "make it all really simple", pretend there's no complexity anywhere, and hope for the best.

@foone Rather than rotating, have it eject the hot CPUs at high pressure into an outgoing pipe. The pipe flows through a heatsink, allowing the CPUs to cool to room temperature while still at high pressure.Next the CPUs pass through an expansion valve, cooling them to below ambient before they are reused.

@tedu The more I think about this, the more it makes my head hurt.Do you have the commit history for this? I'd be tempted to look if the Windows case had been added later by a different author.

@strypey Not that one specifically, but I've been DMed by quite a few suspiciously vapid-looking "women" recently. On the plus side, I've had a chance to learn something about how Mastodon's "Report" feature works.
