@lmc @graue I have been on Twitter since 2009. It used to be a very healthy place, but that was ages ago. I admit that I am still in my âtestingâ phase with Fediverse because Twitter is THE place for all the things I am interested in. All the companies that I want to follow are on Twitter and it is difficult to let go.However, I have been having a healthier time since I switched the official app with TweetBot. Why? Because it lacks features. Features that add the unhealthy.

@killyourfm your post is an inspiration to me, and this is because I have been struggling to balance what I post and where. I monitor both my accounts and I wouldnât say that I am crossposting FROM Twitter but rather I am double-posting what I find intriguing.My main problem here is the lack of a GAMING instance, so most of my toots end up in /dev/null. Most, not all.I was even thinking of giving birth to such an instance but I am afraid of failure. đ„Č

@mastohost @killyourfm by default in your server federated timeline you only see timelines of what your server users follow on other servers. I learned that yesterday. So if you want a hyperactive federated timeline then you connect with activity pub relays that deliver âallâ posts to your server. Itâs actually not that useful now that I have tinkered with it.

@MsMadLemon @killyourfm people that eat algorithms instead of meat and vegetables? I eat vegetables, I promise. Jokes aside one of the the things I donât understand on Twitter is a person with 4000 followers (example from yesterday) publicly announcing how they lost 10 followers and starting a conversation over that. The obsession with numbers and competition is a thing there, while nobody here cares how much numbers do I have. People here actually talk to each other.

The circle seems complete. đWe used to listen to albums (vinyl, tape, CD). Then we were so happy about having 150 MP3âs on one CD. Then we got gigabytes on MP3 players. Long story short we now have infinite songs on our phones, literally, but I just want YOU to record me a mixtape so I can sit back, relax, and forget about teaching the stupid Tidal algorithm (itâs really stupid) about what I like.Thanks for sides A and B, Jason, I liked it.
