@ElusiveOwl It was real alright! The intention for the space was for bio womyn only. A few men over the years did not respect that intention, and in the last few years before closing there was a very vocal minority group of lib fem women and trans folks that formed under the Trans Women Belong Here banner which lobbied for welcoming TIMs. This helped create the ongoing lesbian civil war which is still being waged. BDSM, Butch/Femme dynamics and sex work have all been other ongoing identity issues within the lesbian community, such as it is today, which is but a ghost of its former vibrancy.

It is WAYWAYWAY past time for some serious research and development for menopause (early onset due to emergency hysterectomy because Lupron). I was offered Xanax for my symptoms, which, due to hypothalamic disregulation, causes my nervous system to have a cascading fear response with the hot flashes and night sweats. The whole episodes only last 7 1/2 minutes but feel akin to panic attacks. I declined prescription. The homeopathic Sepia helps me some. @HebrideanHecate

In our circles, we reclaim the age of the Queen. The phases of the moon are four, not three. The kids are grown, we have accumulated wisdom and leadership skills, and we’re not yet ready to to retreat from public life, where the path of the Crone will eventually lead us. I know this will sound whacko, but I use catnip oil spray as a mosquito repellent. It works as well as DEET. I get it from the pet supply store. Kosmic Katnip brand is particularly effective. Not all are the same. Avon Skin-So-Soft works well, but the scent is cloying and becomes intolerable quickly. @MacGueurle

I changed my profile picture, y’all. Still in mourning for Magdalen, but moving on to other survival issues. One of these days you’ll see me spin and and the image will be me, without fanfare. For now, I shot this photo at a pride parade. Healthcare and housing are human rights.
