@DianaSez As you noted, lawyers have used AIs to write briefs. My son is an attorney & says that these people are getting caught out. Due diligence by paralegals is finding fictitious cases & it's blowing up in their faces. My son was also telling me about a case in which someone chose to defend himself. He used an AI to build his case, & because he stuttered, he used a digital voice to speak for him in the courtroom. The judge went ballistic and all manner of consequences followed.

I'm a writer by profession. Have been for 40 years. Talk of censoring hate speech? No. Don't do it. I'm opposed. Someone. Somewhere. Will be offended by something any of us can say. Supporting purebred dogs is hate speech to an animal rights activist. Meat recipes to a vegan? Yup. You get the idea. Cheering violence is vile. But free speech allows people to be vile. Calling for it, however, is something else.

Who else is feeling "meh" today? Last night's voting debacle brings a heavy heart today. Those of a conservative bent are disgusted and/or disheartened. Stalwarts (Raheem) are calling on Trump to clean house (hello, Susie Wiles) while my favorite writer and former leftie, Sasha Stone, notes how good the left was at using a manufactured crisis — the government shutdown to make people vote for communist radical Islamists. I'm reminded of mini skirted Afghani women who ended up in burkas.
