When someone says "It really wasn't any better in the 80s, you just have nostalgia" I remember my parents owning a 4 bedroom house with 2 living rooms, a pool, a motorcycle, 2 new cars, riding mowers, big screen TVs, all the latest shit with me always having nice clothes and video games. Cook outs every weekend with big ribeye steaks. With them doing it all on a combined income less than what I make with a single income and I can't do the same thing.

Yeah, to live like that now you’d need to make at least $250k per year. Oh, and let’s not forget we were not surrounded by nogs and jeets back then as well.

I grew up in the same neighborhood my grandparents lived in. I could walk from my parents to my grandparents in less than 3 minutes. We had ONE black family. They lived all the way at the end of the road. They were the only black family I was aware of anywhere near us and they were a family in the sense there were 2 kids with both a mother and father. The father was a brick mason by trade and the only reason he lived there was he did the brick for most of the neighborhood when it was built in the early 70s

They did. Its the ultimate cautionary tale. The father was just different. You could drop a stack of cash on the floor and he'd pick it up and jog to give it back to you. Somehow he raised 2 children that both ended up in prison by the age of 25. To my knowledge they're both still in prison

it was SO MUCH better in the 80s. I try to not think on that too much because I'm getting older and I just don't want to get weird and bitter and all that. I had no idea things would end up like they did, and I don't like it even though we actually live in a nice comfy older house in a small town and we have everything we need. I do remember there was plenty of white dysfunction in the 80s, but nothing like the opioid addiction/obesity/tattoos that are standard for poor whites now

You can't. Those kids had literally every advantage you could give a negro. Stable parents, lived in an upper-middle class neighborhood. Went to the same schools I did and somehow ended up in prison. Blood memory remains undefeated

I don't disagree, but the spiritual malady goes far beyond astroturfed nigger music

I'm intensely pessimistic by nature and I anticipate things getting a lot worse, especially for Christians. I was a naive foid in the 80s and I just had no idea that what was going on then was going to lead directly to what's going on now.
