More than a hundred years ago, a popular improvement to responsiveness with online computer games was to reduce your OS's MTU size, so that the game would send more frequent and smaller TCP packets, rather than batching them as a throughput optimization.I don't care about faster downloads, man, I care about ONLINE LAG.In the decades since, all of mankind seems to have performed this optimization on the human brain. And in professional and social life, I'm frequently irritated by people who communicate to me in very small packets. In turn I irritate people with very large packets. In general my frustration is this message:>heywith nothing after. I have to respond just to hear what this guy actually wants from me. Why don't you just say it? Why don't you provide a complete technical question, that I could just answer? Why are you wasting everyone's time?I made some kind of a wish on a monkey's paw when I wanted more responsive games.
