       As someone who lived through it it's baffling to me how many people incorrectly assume that Y2K was a nothingburger.In the end, it appeared to be a nothingburger.Mostly because of the years of work that went into future proofing.This is a subpost about unix timestamps.

       Bafflingly, though I am developing a toy, I actually have to implement a workaround to the 2038 problem in the PETI firmware because I'm pretty sure my RTC doesn't go past that.... But then, I also thought I saw code referencing the year 4000-something so maybe I'm wrong about needing to adapt to it.
